We say thank you: Obrigado Diego! The exclusive special jersey for the former number 10 for the farewell match on March 22nd at the WESERSTADION.
The jersey is fully dedicated to our Diego, with many details reminiscent of the unique SV Werder Bremen legend.
The color pattern in green, white and orange is based on Diego's time at Werder.
Diego made 132 appearances for Werder from 2006 to 2009, scoring 54 goals and winning the German Cup with the Green-Whites in 2009. These key dates and the full name of the ball wizard “Diego Ribas da Cunha” are printed on the heart of the jersey.
His goal in 2007, when he scored from over 60 meters against Alemannia Aachen to make it 3:1, is unforgettable - the goal of the year 2007!
This special event is commemorated on the inside of the neck with a picture of Diego and the words “Diego - The 62.5 meter goal”.
Diego's number 10 and Werder Bremen are of course flocked on the back!
The “Lifelong green and white” lettering below the collar further emphasizes the connection to SVW.
Another tribute to the “Mágico” are the green stripes on the sides with the tonal Diego lettering and stars.
The design is rounded off on the front with the hummel logo, the classic hummel angles on the shoulders in orange and our Werder diamond with the championship star in the middle of the chest.
