Does this apply also for the seating areas?

Also, are there any standing tickets on general sale for each match or are they all season tickets?

    Yes.

There a standing tickets available. But the will also be sold in a kind of lotterie. You can order normally for 3 days and than it´ll be drawn who gets the tickets.

Oh my god. My english is gone wild. Tenses?

  3. standing tickets aren´t all season tickets

you can buy some für every game about 2-3 weeks before the game

It will be more than 2-3 weeks.... Normally it is the monday after the fourth homegame before the game. ( I do not really know how to explain it in english).

The ticket sale starts some 6 weeks before each game. There is a special section on the website showing the exact dates:

    http://www.werder.de/tickets/bl/verkaufsstart.php

In the "Bestellfrist" section of the table at the bottom of the page you can see the exact dates for each game.

On any of these dates, you can order the tickets of your choice online at:
http://www.werder.de/tickets/bl/heimspiele.php Scroll to the bottom of the page to access the order form (Bestellschein, German only). Once you filled in the order form correctly and sent it out, you will receive a confirmation of your order by e-mail (agaiin, German only). You can order up to five tickets per person per match.

What you need to know is that an order is no guarantee that you get tickets. If there are more orders than available tickets for the category of your choice, there will be a draw. All orders that have come in during the first three days of the sale period are taken into account in this draw. If you get tickets, the credit card mentioned by you in the order form will be charged (I assume bank account does not work since you are abroad) and you will receive the tickets. If you don't get tickets, you will be informed by e-mail.

You can always call the ticket center after any of these dates and ask whether tickets for a certain game are still available, but the tickets for the standing area are normally sold out after the dates in the "Bestellfrist", and there normally is a draw, so you can never be sure if you get tickets or not. Time between placing the order and knowing whether or not you get tickets varies; normally you should know some 2-3 weeks before the game.

I think, it will be even more difficult to get standing tickets next season since the "Ostkurve" will be put closer to the pitch (similar to the "Westkurve"), so there will be times with less places than normal.

If you're OK with tickets in any other area of the stadium, calling the ticket center works for many games (not Hamburg, Schalke, Munich though), and you can then place your order and collect the tickets at a specific counter at the day of the game.

BTW: If, at any time during the next season, you want to go to a specific game and have problems with the order form (which is in German), just send me a message & I will either try and help you with the form or place an order for you if it does not work.

Thanks everyone, very useful information. If any of you are in Paddy's Pit this weekend look out for us, we're the ones wearing the kilts!

I've bought the tickets for the seats before just as you describe but I really want to get the standing tickets. The atmosphere isn't the same when sitting down. I'd probably have more chance when the 'smaller' teams come to Bremen. A handful of us travel over about three times each season but a large group (normally 15-17) come over in September/October. I want to try & come to the games against Kaiserslautern (due to the freundshaft between them & Killie) & Moenchengladbach so I hope they aren't scheduled close to each other.

It's been ages since I have seen guys in kilts so I'd love to come, but, to be honest, being in Berlin (and in the stadium) is a slightly better option... ;)

Anyhow, if you want standing tickets, just choose "standing" (=Stehplatzkarten) in the order form and then also choose the option to cancel the order if no more standing tickets are available (it says something like "Wenn keine Karten in der gewünschten Kategorie verfügbar sind, Bestellung stornieren" - I can check the precise wording as soon as orders for the new season can be placed). This means that you will definitely get standing tickets if you are drawn, however, you will get no tickets at all if you are not drawn. If you decide to go for this option, I would recommend that more than 1 person orders tickets to increase the probability that you get some... And you should also order within 3 days after sales for the game you are looking for starts, because the orders coming in in the first 3 days are all in the draw. Later orders will only be served if and to the extent that tickets are left (which is very unlikely if you look for standing tickets only). Good luck!

  9. Same here. I just hope Thursday the volcano won't mess up my plane trip to Munchen, from where I'll leave Saturday for the final.

I keep my fingers crossed! Fortunately, I am going by train so there's no risk to be stopped by volcanos... ;)

If standing tickets are so hard to get, which is the next best area in the stadium to experience a good atmosphere?

  12. Well, I'll be visiting Bremen between the 16th and 23rd of December and I just can't miss out on Werder vs Kaiserslautern(by luck, it's one of the cheapest-selling ticket game and Bremen will be home)
However I have a little bit of difficulty on tickets

For some reason, I found this : https://secure.worldticketshop.com/...ckets/88319_werder_bremen-1_fc_kaiserslautern
but I don't really trust this website.

I understand German but I can't find from werder.de either
I know that the website only has tickets for the next 5 games though
In a last resort, I was thinking of buying tickets on the 16th after I land from the Weserstadion or a ticket stand, but then I fear that it might me sold out

    Any suggestions please?:)

    Patience ;)

I wouldn't buy the tickets from that strange website.
You can buy them at werder.de but not yet. They don't sell tickets for the whole year all at once but bit by bit. You should be able to order tickets about a few weeks before the match. If you don't get any, you can still ask for tickets in the Ticketing Thread in this forum and maybe get some from a member here.

  14. Yeah I was planning everything early.
I am getting my flight tickets and booking a hotel in August:lol:

But I'd rather wait a few months and buy the tickets from the official website than from that site, because I don't really trust it

    Thanks for the help mate:beer:

  15. Since I'm living in far east Asia, I think it is not very feasible to buy the tickets through internet (e.g. ebay) and then mail it to my home. I wonder I can only try my luck 2 hours before the match to get a ticket to go inside the stadium?

I can't help with the Bayern game but I'd say you could get tickets for the Mainz game before kick off..............if you were to stand with the Mainz fans!! Try phoning Werder Bremen ticket office, someone will speak English. I do this everytime I go & always get tickets posted to my home address in Scotland.

Where in HK do you live? I have family in Sha Tin

  17. @killiefan
I'll take the flight to Germany on Sept 11, and from my experience, it takes a whole month to get sth posted from Europe to Hong Kong. So time is not enough...

Btw, I live in Lai Chi Kok, which is in west Kowloon. Have you ever been to HK?

I have done this before too, picking up tickets from cabins infront of the stadium.

First time I came to HK was 1991 (landing at the old airport : brow :) & have been a few times since then too. Last time was nearly four years ago though! The Star Ferry is special. We always try to visit Ocean Park & Stanley market when we visit. Then of course there is The Peak, Tai O on Lantau Island, horse racing at Sha Tin & Happy Valley. The strangest sight must be the Filipino girls getting together on their day off, thousands of them!!!

  20. Then I'll try to look up the info in the website. Thanks

I never see horse racing at Sha Tin or Happy Valley. Most of the people go there just for gambling, and I'm not interested in it at all...
On Sunday because all Filipino maids have their day off, and they likes to get together, so in Central, Victoria Park and etc. we can see thousands of them sitting on the ground. This is not strange for us anymore:lol:
