Fifteen in our group now. One guy doesn't like football much so he's not going to the game. Just coming over for the

 

Yes, there is a chance to see matches in and around Bremen. Pity some of you can't make it to the Mainz match. Now a few more tickets are on the market for the Mainz match (I guess capacity increases bit by bit). All the Europa League home matches have places available, and Thursday could be the beginning of a long weekend. The area around the stadium is a good place to let a great night end in a smooth night with a few drinks, fresh air and nice beer. I recommend the Litfass et al in the Ostertorsteinviertel as a good hang out.

If you have a chance watch Werder's U23 but don't be disappointed, not many spectators make it to the ground. Dresden brings in a good following and I think not all of them are Hooligans, their club may move forward a bit with the new stadium, they seem to begin to celebrate their footballing legacy as the most loved club in the GDR with numerous legendary European nights in the past.

On pitch 11 or the Training ground, just near the Weserstadion there is a chance to see players in action and get a chance to get an autograph after training sessions, training is often in public. I took my wife there this summer, she was absolutely loving it, seems to follow the team with a bit more intensity now since she has met the protagonists.

For me it was a bonding experience with the club, especially after that dismal home loss to Frankfurt on Day One of the Bundesliga campaign. Haven't lost since then...

Most of the time if not further away travel to Europa League matches was required, one may be able to catch a training session. I was lucky to catch the last training in the early afternoon on a Friday before the team took off to play Bayern away the next day. Was a fun day in the sun, with a ball flying around and the players you like to see winning.

Returned home yesterday from a great weekend in Bremen. Two great headed goals from Pizarro. The sunshine helped the atmosphere before & after the game too. Paddys Pit was excellent on Friday & Saturday night. Some of the younger ones in the group went to Stubu on Saturday too but the next morning I think they wished they hadn't! Too many left them feeling but I hear one or two got a few from the girls

 

Sounds like you had a great weekend, back to watching Killie now.

Hopefully we'll get to check out Paddy's Pit when we come over this weekend.

What hotel are you in? Paddy's is directly under the Mercure Columbus.

 

Some of our group stayed at The Intercity hotel & said it was very good. Its rated 3rd from 73 hotels in Bremen on Tripadvisor.

 

Hi all, I am going to Bremen on this weekend in the hope of catching the game. I have a friend who speaks German and we managed to order tickets direct on the Werder website and I received a confirmation email to say we had ordered them. I have heard nothing since and credit card is yet to be charged, will they ship the tickets to the UK or will they cancel my order once the see my address? If I can get them what will happen next?

Usually, you should either get the tickets shipped to UK, and your credit card will be charged for it without any further notifications, or you should receive a message in case you won't get any tickets.
At least that's the procedure in germany, I'm not completely sure if it is handled the same way for orders from foreign countries. Perhaps you should call the ticket center or write an additional e-mail to be sure .

 

You can see on this page (sorry, German only, but maybe your friend can help ) how far the ticket office currently is in processing the orders. As the Schalke game has not yet appeared there, we can assume they have not started with that one. So nothing to worry about the credit card not being charged yet.

However, you can only be sure of having the tickets when they have charged the card as the match may be overbooked. On what date was the order placed (you have best chances if not later than 30th Sep)?

I don't know whether they ship to UK, but if not they should offer you to pick up the tickets at the ticket office on matchday.

I guess you will get no tickets for this game, because you ordered them on 01/10/2009. Maybe you don´t know that, but normally you must send the order on the first 3 days. All orders after the this 3 days (Thursday in this case) are subordinated.

I always have to present my passport as I.D. at the stadium (portacabin at gate 4) & they have the tickets there that have been allocated to you.

yes you can try it directly @stadium on match date, many people stand there & try to sale tickets but you must pay more than the normal price.....

I'd also recommend you to check the ticketing section in the German part of the forum regularly. Once the allocation and dispatch of the tickets has started, there might be people who are unable to attend the game & sell their tickets in this section at the regular price. You can also post there that you look for tickets (English should be OK ).

Why that? Shipping is no problem at all if khspur and a potential seller agree on the shipping fee before the tickets are sold. Another option would be a seller who will attend the game himself, thus being able to meet khspur at the stadium prior to the game.

 

Hi everybody, does anybody have some experience with visit of the stadium in Nuernberg? As it is currently about 2 hours drive for me to Nuernberg, I would like to attend to this game next saturday. I suppose it is not gonna be sold out, when Nuernberg is not playing good right now..

Do you think its possible to buy a ticket for the guests block just before the game?I am actually searching for two tickets, as I hope my girfriend will join me
