Pre IWF w/e get together (i.e. Friday 23rd March)

Provided I get some alcohol I might be willing to try that Haggis thingy.

 

@la_mariposa. I HAVE tried it... You can't get around it if you spend six months in Edinburgh in winter.... But I really did not like it - and I can't say whether it is because of the taste or because of knowing what it is made from...

 

Seems that @killie and his gang have to have a lot of Haggis in stock.

 

Ok, I didnt know that, that changes it. Most people say "Ew, how could you eat something like that" and they've never even tried it. In that case I'd urge them to at least try. But if you did and didn't like it I can relate to it. Like I said I'm usually very, very picky about what meat I eat, for example I would never eat liver sausage. Ew. But I've tried.

Now THAT'S the spirit I'm talking about

@la_mariposa. I would not have judged Haggis without having tried it... But since it seems to be very popular with most of the others around here, it's obviously not that bad that I am out in that respect - more Haggis for you

I have the feeling that with that many people nametags would be useful. At least for those like me who have difficulties remembering names.

The only haggis hurling I have heard of is when you throw it in your mouth to eat it!
Still not sure of the final venue yet. While you are in Bremen before us you should go to Paddy's & introduce yourself to the manager, Anthony. Tell him who you are, why you are in Bremen & that I sent you. He is going to 'host' the Friday evening.

 

I vote you in charge of arranging the name tags! Username & real name too I assume.

Name tags definitely make sense. I am hopeless with names and also with recognizing people whom I've seen before and whom I should know...

 

@el_ben: I guess it would be best to just send you PM's with our real names.

 

Another option would be that someone brings blank tags and everyone joining will just write his name(s) on one of them....

 

A third option would be that everyone brings an already prepared name tag along.
