Reaction to the home win vs. FC Hansa Rostock

Markus Anfang: “I thought we played really well and could have scored even more goals. There are no complaints from me; we kept another clean sheet as we did in Karlsruhe, and that gave us confidence. We need to keep on developing as a team, that’s crucial.”

Frank Baumann: “They worked together as a team. They did well off the ball and did not let up. It was tough in the first half playing against the deep-lying Rostock defence. But, the team kept at it and upped it even more in the second period. We saw how important defensive work is, because it allows a team to play with a real confidence.”

Marvin Ducksch: “I think the team has a lot of potential. Today we saw that the guys have a bit about them, it all went very well. Of course, it wasn’t perfect, but we are just getting started. I try to lead the way through my performance and take the team with me. We set out to play attacking football and that’s exactly what we did.”

Markus Anfang: “The team took to him well and he has fit in to the squad nicely. We wouldn’t have signed Marvin if we didn’t think he was a good player. But we shouldn’t just speak about individual players; it’s about the team and the whole club. The team worked really well today.”

Frank Baumann: “Marvin showed his ability today. But you must also say that it was also a brilliant team performance.”

Romano Schmid: “I already sort of knew how he played having watched him. He makes really clever runs. I think if we carry on linking up like that, then we will pick up more wins, just like we did today.”
