Five Werder players called up for international duty

SV Werder Bremen signed off before the upcoming international break with a 1-0 win over SV Darmstadt 98 at a sold out wohninvest WESERSTADION. During this period, Milos Veljkovic will face Hungary and Denmark with Serbia, whilst Nick Woltemade is in the Germany U20s squad to take on Italy and England. ​​​​

Ilia Gruev and Romano Schmid have both been called up for U21 duty. Gruev and Bulgaria have games against the Netherlands and Wales. Schmid’s Austria will play Croatia and Norway. Nick Woltemade is in the Germany U20s squad to take on Italy and England. Kyu-hyun Park is part of South Korea U23s for a training camp.

Marco Friedl (abdominal muscle), Abednego Nankishi (muscle injury), Jiri Pavlenka (minor ankle issue) and Oscar Schönfelder (bruised thigh) have not met up with their countries..
