Florian Kohfeldt: “We were up against the side in third place in the table and we did our best to play with courage. I think that it was a good performance from my team, but we were let down by two unfortunate goals. Otherwise, I thought we did an outstanding job of defending against that threat from set pieces. We pressed well and played far up the pitch whilst ensuring we stayed stable. In the second half, we had a phase where we were lucky that they didn't get a third goal. We weren't able to breakthrough their defence and get a second for ourselves. We weren't outstanding in every area, but we offered a lot against a very good opponent. We have to build on that going forward.”
Romano Schmid: “We put them under pressure towards the end and on another day, we might have gotten the equaliser. In the end it didn't quite go our way. We left too much space behind our fullbacks and I think that was the decisive factor.”
Kevin Möhwald: “We played much more active football than last weekend. We pressed well but were unfortunate to concede two easy goals. We made too many sloppy decisions in the final third so we're frustrated, but the defeat is not the end of the world. We were often outnumbered in wide areas and didn’t take advantage of the space we had.”
Ludwig Augustinsson: “It wasn’t our best performance. We lost the ball to easily and didn’t win enough duels. The own goal at the start was very unfortunate, but we could have responded better to it. Overall, we simply have to be creating more chances than that.”
