Midfielder Christian Groß has signed an extension to his Werder Bremen contract after coming to an agreement with the club.
“Grosso has absolutely earned this extension through his performances. Last year he was captain of the U23 squad and has been part of the first team ever since,” explained sporting director Frank Baumann.
Head coach Florian Kohfeldt is also pleased about the extension. “Grosso is always calm and relaxed in what he does, he has a good passing game and is strong in duels. He’s always there when you need him. He is a selfless player who gives everything for the team.”
Christian Groß is optimistic about his future at the club. “I’m pleased about the contract extension and that I can continue to be part of the Werder family.”
To date, Christian Groß has made 18 Bundesliga appearances for Werder. Groß joined the club from VfL Osnabrück ahead of the 2018/19 season and had played 31 games for the U23 squad, scoring 9 goals.
