The Roly-poly toy, by definition is a small toy that can be rocked but will never ever fall down. Werder have their own roly-poly toy in their squad, the player being Philipp Bargfrede. Despite being two months out with an injury, the midfielder is a once again available for the starting XI this weekend. "He could play from the start´. He will be able to play 70 minutes in any case," said Florian Kohfeldt.
Werder’s head coach sees Bargfrede as an “absolute phenomenon”. The two training sessions on Tuesday were a good test for Bargfrede’s Achilles. "He did well in training. He will train today and is ready for Saturday, "Kohfeldt said.
The Werder coach knows: Already, often in his career, Bargfrede has performed well after coming back from injury. “I am an advocate of players getting enough practice and getting back into their rhythm before they start,” emphasised Kohfeldt, “but Bargi is an absolute exception. He can be injured for half a year and when he plays, it’s as if he hasn’t been out at all.” Bargfrede will be back immediately, no matter how long he has spent on the sidelines – maybe he will be in Hannover on Saturday.
