At the start of this week, Michael Zetterer has taken some time off training. The keeper was unable to train on Tuesday afternoon due to conjunctivitis in his left eye. He is expected to return to the training pitch on Wednesday.

U23 keeper Eric Oelschlägel filled in for Zetterer during first team training on Tuesday. Jerome Gondorf was also not present, as he will only resume full first team training later in the week. The midfielder was only able to complete part of the first training session in this, the Bundesliga’s opening week. He has been carrying a slight ankle injury since the 3-0 victory in the DFB-Pokal.
