As some Werder players head off to meet their countries to represent their home countries, Viktor Skripnik worked with eleven outfield players and two goalkeepers on the training pitch in Bremen. He focused on fitness and technical skills.
Due to the small amount of players and his good performances of late with the U19s, Niklas Schmidt was given the chance to train with the first team. He has scored eleven times this season already and assisted a further 18 in just 16 games. He was in Belek with the squad over the winter at the training camp, but now joins training with the likes of Fritz and Bartels.
Aside from the players on international duty, three were missing from training. Santiago García, Sambou Yatabaré and Oliver Hüsing all trained individually, like the day before, in the gym.
