Friday 9 January 2015 will be a premiere in the history of SV Werder Bremen. For the first time, the Green-Whites will play two test matches on one day. In the training camp in Belek, head coach Viktor Skripnik's team will first take on third division side Energie Cottbus at 2 p.m. (3 p.m. Turkish time) and then will face off against Al-Fujairah SC from the United Arab Emirates at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. Turkish time).

These are the first two test matches for Werder in the preparations for the second round. The coach did not disclose which line-ups he would use in the matches at the Regnum Sports Centre in Belek. He only said: "It's important that all players can get match experience and get the feeling of playing football." In the match against Al-Fujairah SC, there will be a reunion with former Werder striker Boubacar Sanogo, who plays with the UAE club.
