Players and officials from SV Werder Bremen were allowed Thursday afternoon to look forward to their new work cars. Brand new Volkswagens were made available by Werder's mobility and commercial partner on the parking lot of Weser Stadium.

The fleet included 45 cars including Volkswagen models Touareg, Touareg Hybrid, Touareg V8, Phaeton, Sharan, Tiguan, Touran, Passat CC, EOS Passat Variant, Scirocco, Beetle Sport and the Golf GTI. "This is the fifth year of our collaboration. These are all super automobiles - Volkswagen has an interesting product range and we are once again well equipped with automobiles," said manager Klaus Allofs.

The players were really happy after getting their new cars. "This is a super car," said newcomer Assani Lukimya about his brand new Touareg V8. "We have everything we want here, I would also buy it privately," said the defender. Nils Petersen was clearly excited. "This is pure comfort. It's too bad that we have to travel to games with the team bus. Maybe I will ask the coach if I can drive to Münster with the Touareg," said the attacker with a wink.

Lukas Schmitz will no longer drive a Touareg but rather a Volkswagen CC. "I decided this time for this model after I had a Touareg last year. A smaller car is more suitable since I drive a lot in the city and the furnishing is just as good. I feel really good," said Schmitz. Head coach Thomas Schaaf remained with his tried and true model. "The Touareg has impressed me the last few years. I am happy that we were able to continue the successful partnership with Volkswagen this season as well," said Schaaf.
