Werder Bremen's Sunday morning training session took place without the involvement of Sebastian Prödl and Cedrick Makiadi. Both defensive players took knocks during Saturday's 1-1 draw with SC Freiburg.

Sebastian Prödl, who led the team out as captain on Saturday, missed out on Sunday, having taken a blow to the thigh during the match: „It's not so bad, but I will have some treatment over the next day or two," commented the Austrian, who together with Zlatko Junuzovic will join up with the Austrian national team later today.

Makiadi suffered a hip injury during the clash with his former club. The 30-year had pulled up early in training on Thursday with a problem in the same region. Makiadi has since decided not to link up with the Congolese national team and will remain in Bremen instead for treatment.
