Blind understanding was needed Wednesday morning on the Werder training grounds. The Werder players didn't have much other choice as the morning session was accompanied by thick fog. Still, the Green-White footballers kept their focus and scored plenty of goals in the final training match.

In addition to the internationals, also missing on Wednesday was still Petri Pasanen. The Finnish defender is still not fit enough for training after his infection. Also not in team training but instead working out individually were keepers Sebastian Mielitz and Felix Wiedwald. Keeping goal for the training match were Tim Wiese and Christian Vander. In the afternoon, individual training began an hour earlier than usual. Training continues on Thursday with the entire team in the afternoon at 3 p.m. on the pitch. Hopefully the vision will be better.
