The SV Werder Bremen training week began Tuesday morning 6 March 2012 with two positive pieces of news. For the one, centre back Naldo took part in individual training on the training grounds "without any problems". And the other was that Sebastian Prödl is fit enough to travel to the test match in Lüneburg after returning to team training at the end of last week.
While Prödl will possibly make his comeback in the evening, Naldo will only travel with the team as a spectator for the test match against amateur Landesliga side SV Eintracht Lüneburg. Still, the 29-year-old Brazilian was in good spirits. "I feel really good again. Today I completed the full program with our physiotherapist Florian Lauerer for more than an hour. Tomorrow I will go out to the pitch with Yann-Benjamin Kugel. The doctors gave the green light," said Naldo after getting past his knee problems.
Not on the training grounds on Tuesday were Philipp Bargfrede and Aleksandar Ignjovski. While Bargfrede, who celebrated his 23rd birthday on Saturday, is out with an illness, "Iggy" could not participate with groin issues.
