When Robin Dutt talks about Aaron Hunt, you can hear the appreciation that the Werder playmaker has earned over the last few years in Bremen. The Werder coach cherishes the midfielder a lot, making it no surprise that Dutt doesn't like not having Hunt available. That makes it all the better that Hunt was able to return to team training Thursday afternoon.
"Sportswise, Aaron will definitely be missed next year. But you can tell from him that he wants to close things off here. I have the feeling that his departure isn't affecting him at the moment. Just the opposite, he is going all out again. I was very satisfied with his game in Hannover. He was fast, ran a lot and played the simple passes," said Dutt at the official press conference Thursday afternoon.
Ignjovski and Garcia also fit for Schalke
And Dutt will certainly need Hunt to be in top form on Saturday if he wants to pick up points at home. "Schalke are very strong at the moment, especially up front," said Dutt, who could give Werder's No. 14 the green light after he recovered from his hardened thigh muscle.
Altogether, it looks like the coach can rely on the successful squad from the Hannover game. In addition to playmaker Hunt, the recently banged up Aleksandar Ignjovski and Santiago Garcia both completed the entire Thursday session. Only Felix Kroos (knee capsule injury) and Özkan Yildirim (adductors injury) were still out of training.
