Werder player Pascal Testroet will leave the Green-Whites as the end of the season and play next season with Offenbach Kickers. The sides agreed to the move on Wednesday as the striker prematurely cancelled his contract, which was to run until the end of the 2011-12 season and signed a new deal with Offenbach until 30 June 2013.

Testroet transferred to the Weser in December 2008 but never really made the jump to the Bundesliga team. The Bocholt native scored 15 goals in 59 appearances for Werder's U23 team in the third league. In 2009, Testroet helped Werder's U19 team to the North German championship. "With the competition in the attack, it would have been difficult next season for Pascal to get playing time. Therefore, this transfer is the correct decision," said Werder manager Klaus Allofs.

U23 player Stefan Ronneberg, whose contract was to expire on 30 June, also has a new club as the Eilenburg native signed a deal until 30 June 2013 with third league club Carl Zeiss Jena. Since his transfer to the Green-Whites in 2007, the 22-year-old played 52 times for Thomas Wolter's team, scoring two goals. "Stefan unfortunately cannot take the next step with Werder. Therefore it's good that he found a new challenge in Jena. We wish him all the best," said Dr. Uwe Harttgen, director of Werder's youth development center.
