Fitness coach Yann-Benjamin Kugel worked in the morning with recently banged-up Claudio Pizarro and Tim Borowski. But the question remains if it's enough or if they will miss the game against Frankfurt. The answer must be postponed as Werder fans and head coach Thomas Schaaf must be patient. It is still unsure if either will play in the Green-Whites' away match against Eintracht Frankfurt Friday evening 8 April 2011. Schaaf announced that just before the team's departure for Frankfurt.

Aaron Hunt meanwhile does not have to worry about a flight to Frankfurt as the midfielder is not on Bremen's roster. "Aaron will definitely be out. He has a fever and cannot be there," said Schaaf about Hunt's absence from the roster. However another name is back on the squad - namely Per Mertesacker. Werder's defensive ace returned to the pitch for final training after overcoming his cold. "Everything is okay," said the 26-year-old Mertesacker in the afternoon. Also given the green light was Philipp Bargfrede who was nominated for the roster again after missing two games with a heal problem. Schaaf and his team can definitely rely on plenty of Green-White support as 4,000 guest tickets have been sold for the game in Frankfurt with tickets still available on game night starting at 6 p.m.

The following players were nominated by Thomas Schaaf for the Frankfurt match: Wiese, Mielitz, Pasanen, Wesley, Borowski (?), Arnautovic, Fritz, Avdic, Marin, Silvestre, Wagner, Frings, Pizarro (?), Mertesacker, Stevanovic, Trinks, Balogun, Schmidt, Bargfrede.
