+++ Petersen and Bargfrede please Bavarian tent visitors: Nils Petersen and Philipp Bargfrede lifted the spirit at the "Day of People with Handicaps" at the Freimarkt grounds last Thursday afternoon. The players were welcomed in the well-filled Bavarian tent with a loud rendition of the Werder song. They answered questions about current topics in the Werder world. The Werder players also had presents for the big raffle and just in general provided for plenty of laughs among the fans and winners. +++

The TV journalists had set up a Skype chat with his twin brother Manuel Garcia without Santiago knowing. Manuel is goalkeeper with Argentinean top flight side Atlético Rosario Central. When asked what he can do better than Santiago, Manuel said: "I can have more success with the chicas (Spanish for women) than Santiago!" +++

+++ Where was Aycicek?: Bremen's Levent Aycicek was listed neither on the professional squad nor the U23 side. The reason was a collision at final training with the professionals which resulted in knee problems. It's unclear if Aycicek can return to training this week. +++
