Another 12 months have passed for the Green-Whites. Highs and lows, victories and defeats - it was an eventful 2014 year along the Weser. In an extensive yearly review, WERDER.DE looks back at the most important events of the last 365 days. In the third part: July to September.

July:

07 July: After a seven-day trip to China, the Werder troops return to the Hanseatic city. In addition to sweat-inducing training sessions, the Green-Whites also play two test matches in the Far East with two victories against Changchun Yatai (1-0) and Tianjin TEDA (2-1). There were also sponsorship meetings for the delegation.

10 July: A World Cup player reinforces the Green-Whites as Izet Hajrovic transfers to SVW. The Bosnian international arrives from Galatasaray Istanbul. In addition to this acquisition, there are two more roster decisions in July as both Raphael Wolf and Felix Kroos extend their contracts to 2017.

19 July: Werder prepare for their season with a training camp in Zillertal. Fritz, Di Santo and Co. also play test matches against Wacker Innsbruck (5-2 win) and Athletic Bilbao (2-2 draw) in Austria.

August:

03 August: The "Day of the Fans" 2014: The Green-Whites supporters experience a perfect Werder day with a 3-0 victory over FC Chelsea in a friendly serving as the crowning conclusion.

Successful start of the season! SV Werder win in the first round of the German Cup with a 3-1 victory over FV Illertissen after extra time. It's the first time in three years that the Green-Whites advance into the second round of the cup.

23 August: Bundesliga start in the capital: A week later, play starts in the Bundesliga as well and the team picks up a draw both in Berlin and at home against Hoffenheim.
