After two intensive training sessions on Monday, there were two more on Tuesday as head coach Robin Dutt is really putting his players through it. The Werder players would like to make up as quickly as possible for their poor performance last weekend against Augsburg. And a good showing in the next home match against Borussia Dortmund should do the trick.

"It's the players turn. We are sorry for the fans who made the long trip down to Augsburg and had to watch such a bad game from us. By now at the latest, we have all understood that we have to pick up points and we would like to do that straight away against Dortmund," the Austrian international defender told media members Tuesday.

Despite double duties and cancelled days off, the Werder players are not complaining but giving their all. New acquisition Ludovic Obraniak hasn't been spared the extra work either. Even though the French native with Polish roots has only been in training for two days, the 29-year-old knows the situation the club is facing.

"I am not here as a tourist but want to help Werder Bremen as a player. I see here a very young team with a lot of potential and I am very hopeful that it will end up well. I am aware of my situation and expectations from the outside and can deal with the pressure," Obraniak told journalists.

In Obraniak's debut against the Champions League finalists, fans could see Aaron Hunt return as well. The deputy captain was expected back in Bremen Tuesday night. The examinations of his knee problems have been completed near Munich and the offensive player is expected to return to training on Wednesday, with Dutt calling his team together at 10 a.m. Spectators unfortunately cannot see how the training is going as the mid-week session will take place inside Weser Stadium.
