Werder's new acquisition Ludovic Obraniak missed both training sessions Tuesday. The Frenchman with Polish roots felt slight muscle problems at the end of training on Monday and Robin Dutt and his coaching stuff ordered a break.

"Ludo felt something slight yesterday. We didn't want to take any risk. That's why we took him out today. He is not in danger of missing the match Saturday," said Dutt about the move. Also out of training were Julian von Haacke and Torben Rehfeldt, who were playing with Werder's U23 in a test match in the evening against SV Drochtersen/Assel.

But Dutt was able to count on Sebastian Prödl on Tuesday after the Austrian international was cleared from training on Monday for private reasons.

The next training, which will be closed to the public, will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m. after the Werder players get Wednesday off.
