The first date of the preparations for the 2013-14 season is set as the Werder players will attend a training camp on Norderney from 1-5 July 2013. SV Werder will be travelling to the North Sea island for the 12th straight year for the summer's first training camp.
Head coach Thomas Schaaf is looking forward to the trip to the island. "We have super conditions there every year, always have a great hotel and a nice beach where you can really run in the morning. Once again this year we will lay the foundation for the entire season on Norderney," said Schaaf.
In addition to numerous training sessions and beach runs, the Green-Whites will also play their first test match of the new season on the An der Mühle grounds. The opponents and date of the match are not yet known.
