The goal of these talks is to develop a long term co-operation between the four parties in the area of power provision.
As part of the first step due to be made at the Weser Stadium in its re-development, a photovoltaic system will be installed whilst a large number of energy saving measures are also planned.
Dr. Werner Brinker, chairman of EWE AG explained the plans: “Working together with such a prominent partner will assist us in making clear the importance providing renewable energy sources for the future.”
Werder Bremen chairman Manfred Müller: “There has not as yet been a decision made on the rights to the future name of the Weser Stadium. We have said all along that this would be a step taken in ensuring the financial means for the stadiums reconstruction. We are continually searching for an intelligent solution which will be fair to all parties involved.”
