The membership period surrounding the "Come Into Our Team" campaign has been extended due to its massive success. Manager Klaus-Dieter Fischer announced on Monday that the campaign, which was due to end on Thursday, 30.06.2005, will now continue until the "Day of the Fans" on Sunday, 31.07.2005. The advertising promotion has hit upon a great deal of interest in recent weeks because of Werders introductory offer to fans, of among other things, a highly regarded personalised scarf.
"That's come over very well, our goal was to break the 20,000 mark. We've long since surpassed that and are currently numbering 21,018, which is a fantastic success for Werder", beamed Fischer.
The extension of the promotion is seen by Werder as the oportunity for all fans still without a 'Greencard' to prepare themselves perfectly for the upcoming season. "Werder is a more attractive prospect than ever before. Aside from just football, our other departments are also making a breakthrough. Our chess side are German champions and the table tennis team are mixing it well in the Bundesliga. As a member our fans can enjoy a number of fan advantages or become involved on an active level.
