One day after the test match against SSV Reutlingen there was good news for Werder Bremen head coach Thomas Schaaf as the number of players at team training is steadily increasing with striker Claudio Pizarro returning to practice on Wednesday. And the Peruvian gave a thumbs up afterwards. "I had a minor strain in my right thigh. I was able the train the last couple days but had to do my drills alone. Today I tried it again and it went very well. I am convinced that I can play in the game on Friday against SC Freiburg," said Pizarro.
That means the physiotherapist team and fitness coaches only have to worry about Naldo at the moment. The Brazilian’s knee is slightly inflamed, but the signals are positive. "I am working on getting back as soon as possible. But I need some patience. I still feel it, but it’s getting better," said Naldo. "I am getting treatment every day and we are continually increasing the burden in my individual training." The Brazilian is hoping to complete some drills with the ball Wednesday evening.
