All football fans can now look forward to a special highlight. On 20 July, the Volkswagen Arena will host a showdown between German league champions Wolfsburg and German Cup winners Werder Bremen in the Volkswagen SuperCup 2009. The absolute highlight of the build-up to the 2009-10 Bundesliga season will kick off at 8:20 p.m. and will be broadcasted live on German channel ZDF from Wolfsburg's Volkswagen Arena.

 

Just like Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen also have a successful partnership with Volkswagen. The Wolfsburg carmakers have been Werder's official automobile sponsors since the 2008-09 season. Information about ticket sales and pricing for the Volkswagen SuperCup 2009 match will be published soon.
