After the chairman of the board of directors Jürgen L. Born temporarily stepped down from his offices with Werder Bremen, the management duties within the board have been re-arranged. Klaus Allofs, the manager of professional football, will temporarily take over the public relations work as well as the chairmanship from Born. Manfred Müller will add the finances area to his current duties as manager of marketing and management.

"With these moves we made sure that the everyday business can continue without limitations," said Willi Lemke, chairman of Werder Bremen's supervisory board.
