Werder's supervisory board can continue working in its usual continuity. In the first meeting of Werder's highest body since the elections in November 2008, the members unanimously voted Willi Lemke back into his post as chairman of the supervisory board. The election of vice-chairman of the supervisory board saw the incumbent confirmed as Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald was also re-elected unanimously.
The Lemke-Dr. Hess-Grunewald pair can now continue the leadership work they started in the supervisory board in February 2005. Willi Lemke and Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald have been in the supervisory board since 1999 and are among the original members of the then-founded body. The other members of the supervisory board are Niels Stolberg, Dr. Werner Brinker, Gunnar Lübben-Rathjen and Hans Schulz.
