While some of Werders heroes are enjoying a well deserved summer break others are busy plying their trade at the European Championships in Portugal. All the while preparations are being made for the pre season programme which begins on 01.07.2004 in anticipation of the 2004/2005 season. The following is a list of Werders summer schedule to date:

01.07.2004 First training session and subsequent departure to Norderney

 

01.-09.07.2004 Training camp in Norderney

 

06.07.2004 Friendly in Norderney against Emden Kickers (7pm)

 

09.07.2004 Departure from Norderney and friendly against SV Meppen in Firrel (7pm)

 

10.07.2004 Friendly against Trabzonspor in Minden (4pm)

 

14.07.2004 Friendly in Bornreihe against SV Blau-Weiß Bornreihe (7pm)

 

16.07.2004 "IFiZ 2004" international tournament in Zentralstadion, Leipzig: Semi-final against FC Sachsen Leipzig (9pm), second half will be available live at 10pm on MDR

 

17.07.2004 "IFiZ 2004"

international tournament in Zentralstadion, Leipzig: 3rd and 4th place play-off against Red Star Belgrade or FC Brugge (2pm), or final against Red Star or Brugge (Live on MDR)

 

18.-25.07.2004 Training camp in Bad Ragaz/Switzerland

 

20.07.2004 Friendly against Swiss champions FC Basel,change of location: Will,Switzerland (7.30pm)

 

24.07.2004 Friendly against French champions Olympic Lyon in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland (7pm)

 

29.07.2004 League cup (semi-final) against winner between Bochum vs. Stuttgart (8.30pm live on ARD)

 

31.07.2004 "Tag der Fans 2004" (Day of the Fans 2004) in Bremen

 

02.08.2004 Possibly League Cup Final in Mainz, live on ZDF

 

06./07./08.08.2004 First Bundesliga match day
