“It was ust to let everyone know exactly what this is about”, commented the coach, with his mind set firmly on the task ahead at the Weser Stadium on Saturday against MSV Duisburg. For the first time this season, the Werder coaching staff have almost their complete squad available, which is something that Thomas Schaaf is quite pleased about: “That is a situation that you aspire to”, noted the coach on the current personnel situation.
Central defender Per Mertesacker will be in the frame again having sat out his three week suspension and Daniel Jensen has recovered from the groin injury that kept him out last week. Naldo is no longer having problems with the cut to his shin that he picked up in training either: “I’m feeling really good, it’s all o.k.”
The following 18 man squad has been nominated for the clash with MSV Duisburg:
Tim Wiese, Christian Vander, Naldo, Patrick Owomoyela, Per Mertesacker, Clemens Fritz, Sebastian Boenisch, Petri Pasanen, Frank Baumann, Tim Borowski, Jurica Vranjes, Daniel Jensen, Diego, Torsten Frings, Aaron Hunt, Markus Rosenberg, Boubacar Sanogo, Ivan Klasnic
