After the huge success of the first "International Werder Fan Weekend" last year, Werder Bremen once again this year are inviting fans from all over the world to Bremen for the next IWFW on 19-21 April 2013.

International Werder Fan Weekend is a great chance to visit Bremen and to experience the opportunity of seeing your favorite team and the spirit of the Green-Whites family. Last year, Werder fans from at least nine countries travelled to Bremen - with visitors from USA, Scotland, England, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Belarus and Russia. The get-together of such different nationalities emphasizes the importance for Werder Bremen of knowing its fans from all over the world and understanding of other cultures as a positive step to advance internationalism, tolerance and understanding. The idea of organizing the weekend came from a group of Werder fans in the official Werder forum, which just wanted to meet in Bremen for a Werder game. In cooperation with the Fan and Members Support department, the idea was developed into an exciting weekend. The start of the weekend was a nice get-together on Friday night in Bremen.

On Saturday, everybody could attend a city tour, and a boat ride to the stadium was also included. Surely, one of the highlights of the weekend was also the match at Weser Stadium against Augsburg and the after-party at the Ostkurvensaal and Lagerhaus. The international weekend came to a memorable finish with a stadium tour, lunch with a surprise visit by club president Klaus-Dieter Fischer and a football tournament among fans.

This year's program will be certainly as exciting as the last year's! Werder Bremen welcome everyone from all over the world to the next International Werder Fan Weekend 2013!
