The Fan-Café in the East Curve Hall offered a very special highlight for Werder fans on Monday 17 October 2011 as head coach Thomas Schaaf and manager Klaus Allofs accepted the invitation from the fans and member support team and Fan Project Bremen and answered questions from the some 80 supporters on hand.
"The Fan-Café is a series of events which we have held for months regularly on Mondays after home matches. This gives our fans the chance to be very close to Werder and talk to us about their fears, praise and criticism," said Julia Ebert, head of the fan and member support department with Werder Bremen.
"It is important to take time and address and discuss things in a calm format. That was a nice setting," said Schaaf. "With journalists you can tell that they are more looking for a story. Here on the other hand you could tell that they are really thinking about the personalities of the players. I think these kinds of events are very good. This is the chance to address all questions," said Allofs about the interest of the fans.
