Werder players Per Mertesacker and Tim Wiese on Friday were nominated by German national team coach Joachim Löw for Germany's up-coming Euro2012 qualifier against Kazakhstan (26 March) and the international against Australia (29 March).
Löw also commented on why Marko Marin was not included on the team for the games in Kaiserslautern and Mönchengladbach. "André Schürrle was selected this time, but Marko still plays a role in our plans," said the German boss.
