Fin Bartels has returned to team training. The 27-year-old completed the Saturday morning session without any problems. The offensive man has been labouring the past couple of days with a foot injury he suffered in the test match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Bartels' return means he could make an appearance in the test match on Monday 19 January 2015 at MSV Duisburg. But Werder coach Viktor Skripnik said it would be a last minute decision "if and how long" both Bartels and Franco Di Santo would play against Duisburg. Di Santo has only recently returned after missing eight weeks of action.

Before the Green-Whites head to Duisburg, they will get a day off on Sunday after the intensive days in Belek and Bremen. The team will come back together Monday morning to go through more preparations for the Duisburg warm-up.
