TEAM TALK: Santi Garcia in squad for Gladbach game

+++ Garcia back on board: SV Werder completed their final training session ahead of their home Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Sunday. Fin Bartels and Philipp Bargfrede returned on Friday, completing the full training programme and both will be fit to make the squad for the match against the Fohlenelf, as will Santiago Garcia, who returns to the squad for the first time since playing away to 1. FC Köln on March 21st earlier this year. The 27-year-old left back had returned to training at the beginning of August following a lengthy absence due to a knee injury. "It's very special for me to be back in the squad after such a long time. I missed the Bundesliga while I was recovering from my injury and I'm really looking forward to be back. I'm there if the manager needs me," said a visibly excited Santiago Garcia while talking with WERDER.DE.

+++ A visit from Nigeria: Anthony Ujah is the new bearer of hope in Nigeria's football. International sport journalist Oma Akatugba travelled from Nigeria to Bremen to speak with Bremen's new striker. Akatugba accompanied his countryman to Thursday's training session before taking a walk through Ujah's new home town - Bremen. "Ujah is set to lead the Super Eagles," explained Akatugba. "We believe that he can become a great star." The 24-year-old has been called up for Nigeria's national team squad as they take on Tanzania and Niger in their next two games.
