Werder keeper Michael Zetterer can return to training after suffering from a scaphoid fracture. He was out of action for two months. "I'm back but I can't quite start normal keeper training," he explained.
"It was only a small fracture but I can't complete all of the exercises yet. I was recently doing individual work with Manuel Klon, who is the keeper coach for the U23s," added Zetterer. The keeper joined Bremen from Unterhachingen in the winter and described his return as an "incredible feeling." He can't wait to return fully: "I hope that I'm back sooner rather than later."
Özkan Yildirim, Santiago Garcia, Melvyn Lorenzen and Lukas Fröde are all still in individual training. Fröde is still wearing a mask. He said that "it feels quite good. I've been wearing it when doing my rehab work so that I got used to the feeling."
