The 2012 European Championship in Poland and Ukraine ended barely six weeks ago and the next international matches are already up-coming. Because of the games, Werder Bremen head coach Thomas Schaaf will be without 11 players this week.

The Austrian team with Zlatko Junuzovic and Sebastian Prödl will face off against Turkey on Wednesday 15 August 2012 at 8:30 p.m. at Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna. But Werder attacker Marko Arnautovic will not be able to play for Austria.

Defender Sokratis and Greece travel to Oslo to play against Norway at 8 p.m. while fellow Euro 2012 participant Theodor Gebre Selassie and the Czech Republic square off against 2012 tournament co-hosts Urkaine in Lviv at 8 p.m.

Werder newcomer Kevin de Bruyne could pick up his third cap for Belgium on Wednesday in their showdown with neighbours Netherlands in Brussels. Aleksandar Ignjovski and the Serbia national team will play versus Ireland while 2012 Olympics participant Francois Affolter was hardly back in Bremen and now he heads to Croatia with the Swiss national team to play at 7:15 p.m. against Croatia.

Florian Hartherz, Tom Trybull, Johannes Wurtz and Niclas Füllkrug left Sunday 12 August 2012 to take part in a U20 Germany training camp in Hennef which also includes a test match against Luxembourg's U21 team on Wednesday.

All the Green-Whites are due back in Bremen on Thursday.
