Derrick Köhn joins SVW on loan

Werder Bremen have brought in a new player on the final day of the summer transfer window, with Derrick Köhn joining the Green-Whites on a season-long loan deal from Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray. Both clubs have agreed to include an option to buy in the contract following the expiry of the loan.

Looking to continue the streak

After a draw in Augsburg on the opening day of the Bundesliga season, SV Werder Bremen are finally back at the Weserstadion for their first home match of the 2024/25 campaign. Dikeni Salifou will leave SV Werder Bremen to join Austrian Bundesliga side SK Austria Klagenfurt on loan until the end of the season, as confirmed on Monday by the head of professional football, Peter Niemeyer.

Back with a bang

It had been almost five months since Justin Njinmah last featured in the Bundesliga. After Matchday 26 of the 2023/24 season, the 23-year-old was firstly sidelined with hip and ankle problems, before missing the remainder of the campaign with illness.
