Werder’s first friendly ahead of the 2024/25 season ended in a comfortable 2-0 win. Oliver Burke put the Green-Whites ahead almost immediately in the second minute. In the second half, Keke Topp marked his debut for SVW with his first goal for the club.

MATTHÄI remains SV Werder’s primary and kit sponsor

SV Werder Bremen and primary sponsor MATTHÄI have agreed an early extension to their long-term contract, which will see the construction services provider continue to work with the club until 2029. The existing agreement was valid until 2026.

Second friendly arranged for training camp in Austria

SV Werder Bremen have arranged another friendly for their stay in Zillertal. Ole Werner’s men will face Italian top-flight side US Lecce on Saturday, 20th July at the Parkstadion in Zell am Ziller. Kick off will be at 15:00 CEST.

The city’s heart and soul: Werder and hummel present new home shirt

SV Werder Bremen and the club’s kit supplier hummel are delighted to present the new home shirt for the 2024/25 season. The design is inspired by the Bremen flag, serving as a representation of the shared identity between the city and Werder.

Shirt numbers confirmed for 2024/25 season

Coinciding with the launch of SV Werder Bremen's new home shirt, the player numbers for the 2024/25 season have also been confirmed. There have been a few changes within the squad, with some players choosing new numbers for the upcoming campaign. The new home shirt will be worn for the first time during Werder's friendly against FC Verdun on Sunday, 14th July.

Werder to play friendly against Sheffield Wednesday in Zillertal

The first friendly match of Werder’s training camp in Zillertal has been confirmed. The Green-Whites will take on English second-tier side Sheffield Wednesday on Friday, 26th July. The game against the four-time English champions will kick off at 14:00 CEST at the Parkstadion in Zell am Ziller.

From Hanoi to the Hanseatic City

This week, a class of Vietnamese students visited the Weserstadion and the WUSEUM. The students thoroughly enjoyed their time in Bremen, showing enthusiasm for Werder throughout. “The pupils love football and would love to come back,” says teacher Van Do.

Season opener away in Augsburg

The Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) announced the fixtures for the 2024/25 Bundesliga season on Thursday afternoon. SV Werder Bremen will open the season away at FC Augsburg on the weekend of 23rd to 25th August. The Green-Whites will play their first home game against Borussia Dortmund on the weekend of 30th August to 1st September.
