Squad update ahead of away trip to face VfL Wolfsburg

SV Werder Bremen will have to do without a pair of players for their away match against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday, 20/10/2024 (kick-off 17:30 CEST). It was announced during the press conference ahead of matchday seven’s fixture that Jens Stage and Skelly Alvero will be both be unavailable to the Green-Whites on a short-term basis.

Stage sustained a severely bruised muscle following a knock to his calf and Alvero will be absent due to knee problems. Milos Veljkovic (foot problems), Justin Njinmah (ankle ligament injury), and Niklas Stark (muscular problems) have all been training individually recently and the match comes too soon for them to be involved just yet.
