A new week of training began for Ole Werner’s team on Wednesday, 13/11/2024, with the international break getting into full swing. In addition to the five Werder players off on duty with their nations, the head coach had to deal with one further absentee from training as well.

Jens Stage being back in full team training after suffering from neck problems is certainly pleasing for Werder, especially after he had to be subbed off at half-time during the home match against Holstein Kiel. Felix Agu and Marco Grüll were both able to complete part of the session as well. Justin Njinmah is having his workload managed and therefore will be absent from team training for the whole week.

Four players from the Werder academy are also taking part in senior team training, namely Joel Imasuen (U23), Wesley Adeh (U19), Stefan Smarkalev (U19) and Calvin Seidler (U17).
