Shirt numbers confirmed for 2024/25 season

New numbers for our goalkeepers and new signings

Coinciding with the launch of SV Werder Bremen's new home shirt, the player numbers for the 2024/25 season have also been confirmed. There have been a few changes within the squad, with some players choosing new numbers for the upcoming campaign. The new home shirt will be worn for the first time during Werder's friendly against FC Verdun on Sunday, 14th July.

There has been a change in shirt numbers amongst our goalkeepers, with Michael Zetterer taking over the number 1 shirt. His former number, 30, will go to returnee Mio Backhaus, while new signing Markus Kolke will wear the number 25.

After extending his contract with the Green-Whites, Justin Njinmah will wear the number 11 shirt from now on, with new signing Marco Grüll taking over the number 17. Keke Topp will don the number 42 in his debut Bundesliga season with Werder. After returning from their loan spells, Oliver Burke (15), Dikeni Salifou (29) and Abdenego Nankishi (33) will also change numbers. Skelly Alvero will retain the number 28 shirt.
