Dikeni Salifou will leave SV Werder Bremen to join Austrian Bundesliga side SK Austria Klagenfurt on loan until the end of the season, as confirmed on Monday by the head of professional football, Peter Niemeyer.
“The current competition in his position is very fierce, therefore we could not guarantee him the playing time that he requires for his development. As a result, we have agreed with him that another loan is the best option. As was the case with for his previous loan to Juventus, we believe that he should get the minutes that he needs,” explained Niemeyer.
Dikeni Salifou signed for Werder from FC Augsburg in the summer of 2022. The 21-year-old has featured once for the first team in the Bundesliga and 13 times for the U23s in the fourth division. During his loan to Juventus for the 2023/24 season, he played 31 times for their second team.
