Head coach Ole Werner: “We were too slow and sloppy in possession. In the moments when that wasn’t the case, our shooting was inaccurate. Felix Agu’s chance was our biggest of the game up to that point, and we then didn't have another opportunity like it to turn things around. Both teams focused on remaining compact, which meant neither of us were able to create many chances on goal.”
Marco Friedl: “We were ambitious following the huge victory and wanted to hit the ground running today, but unfortunately weren’t able to do that. We had difficulty getting into the final third and when we finally did, our decision making was poor and our shots were inaccurate. It didn’t turn out to be a good league game ending in a classic 0-0 draw. We would have gladly taken at least a point today, but we have ourselves to blame.”
Felix Agu: “It was a tricky, close game. The space for us to play in was actually there, but we weren’t quick enough on the ball. We had one or two chances, but failed to use them – Freiburg were just more clinical in front of goal. We could’ve come away with more today.”
