Ole Werner, head coach: "We played excellent football with some great link-up play, and all our goals were well-worked. The fact that we did well when in possession was also key today, because Union defend well and haven't allowed their opponents many chances so far this season. As a team, we have recorded a clear improvement over the course of the year, which is now being reflected by our results."
Marco Grüll, brace scorer: "I'm very happy to have now also scored at the Weserstadion and that we won the game in such style. We quickly took our chances. Our third goal just before the break was important, because otherwise it could have been a much closer game. We're extremely clinical in front of goal at the minute and aren't conceding many goals, which is what you need in order to win games."
Marvin Ducksch: "Tonight was another extremely mature performance on our part. We conceded at a time in which we were taking it a bit too easy and coasting on our 2-0 lead. We can't allow that to happen, and we spoke about it at half time. After that, we kept pushing to get another goal and deservedly won today."
Derrick Köhn: "We knew that we would have to score as quickly as possible and that it wouldn't be easy. We converted our chances, but weren't satisfied with that, which is why we kept pushing for more. We really wanted to leave it all on the pitch and go into the break on a high, which we managed to do. At the minute, we're just enjoying ourselves out on the pitch, which I think is clear to see."
