SV Werder Bremen are set to host VfB Stuttgart at the Weserstadion on Saturday, 30th November (15:30 CET). Unlike the Green-Whites, the Swabians haven't had all week to prepare for this match, having also been in action in the Champions League against Crvena zvezda in midweek (5-1 defeat). After falling to a close 1-0 loss at Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend, SVW are now looking to get back to winning ways as they go in search of their second home win of the season.

Team news: Head coach Ole Werner will be without Keke Topp (syndesmosis ligament injury) and Felix Agu (knock to the knee). Jens Stage, however, is an option again.

Ole Werner on the opponent: "Stuttgart are a tough opponent, regardless of the injuries they may be dealing with right now. That doesn't change anything. We will go into the game aiming for the three points, though."

High-impact substitutes

Previous meetings: Of the 114 meetings between the sides to date, both teams have won 40 times. The remaining 34 encounters all finished level. Werder were able to win the most recent meeting between the sides back in April (2-1), with Marvin Ducksch netting a brace.

Super subs: VfB Stuttgart have scored a league-high six goals from off the bench this season. The Green-Whites also have seen their substitutes make an instant impact once stepping onto the pitch, having scored four times through substitutes this term (3rd most).
