SV Werder Bremen will take on high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening (23.11.2024, 18:30 CET). The Eagles are unbeaten in each of their last six competitive games, while the Green-Whites will be looking to take the momentum from their most recent 2-1 home win against Holstein Kiel with them into the primetime clash.

Team news: Jens Stage and Felix Agu won't be available in Frankfurt. The Dane, who recently extended his contract with the Green-Whites, has been dealing with reoccurring neck problems. Agu is unavailable due to knee problems.

Ole Werner on the opponent: "We know what we're up against. We can't change the fact that Frankfurt are in the midst of a strong first half to the season, but we've also been good. Frankfurt are the favourites but we've shown already that one can never count us out. Frankfurt are strong in the final third and from set pieces. That's why we can't just defend deep. It's important for us to defend well in that area of the pitch. As soon as we're putting pressure on the ball, we need to make sure to remain compact."

Strong at home

Recent meetings: Both sides have a balanced record in this fixture, with both the Eagles and the Green-Whites picking up 44 wins each (along with 26 draws). Both of their meetings last season also ended level (2-2, 1-1).

Strong at home: Dino Toppmöller's side are unbeaten in their last 10 games on home soil. They have also scored a league high 15 goals at home this term, the most of any other side in the Bundesliga.
