WERDER.DE: Hi, Issa – welcome to Bremen! You were still on loan at Benfica at the end of last year, now you’re here. How have you been over the last few days?
Issa Kaboré: I’m really, really happy to be here. For me, it wasn’t a hard decision, since Werder Bremen are a good team. I want to have fun playing football with the lads here.
WERDER.DE: Over the past few years you’ve gained a lot of experience playing at different clubs all over the world on loan. What attracts you to Werder as a destination for the next six months?
Issa Kaboré: Werder are a big club that play in a very good league. It’s really important for me and my development.
WERDER.DE: Despite your age, you’ve already made appearances for Burkina Faso – 35 of them alongside Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba. Did you speak to him before moving to the Bundesliga?
Issa Kaboré: No, I didn’t speak with him. I’ve watched a lot of his matches, though. That’s how I know that the standard of the Bundesliga is very good.
